Member www(dot)records is from Joplin, Mo. Steve's (aka Pritch) home was either in or very near the path of last night's devastating tornado. I have been unable to contact him so far, and have no idea of his status. I'm praying that he and his family are OK, and would ask that other members so inclined will do the same.

I will do so. I was in a rental car the day of the tornados in Alabama and saw in real time the effect of the destruction in real time travelling down I65. It is a miracle I was able to snake through unscathed. But I have a respect now of just how destructive and dangerous a tornado can be. It took two weeks for my nerves to settle down. I hope to death not to witness this again.
I found a map of the tornado path today, and Steve's home was smack dab in the middle. I say was, 'cause it's not likely there now. Still no word on him.

Contact! Steve, his wife, and a 14mo grandchild were home when it hit. They crawled into the bathtub about 10 seconds before the house came apart. A wall fell over them, both pinning and protecting them.
Their home, cars, neighborhood... gone. several died next door in apartments as well as more at Steve's job. All that, and he's not beaten.

Good news update
I got to hear the whole story yesterday. Very sobering. The size (3/4 mi) and the landspeed (~27mph) put everything in the direct path in hell for a full 90 seconds.
Steve is fine and resilient. They were able to salvage some clothes, appliances, and mamma's 'spensive new vacuum cleaner...
...and his Mc amps (didn't break a tube) and his Model 17s!
A garageful of albums and gear didn't fare so well.
